Northwest Trip Part 2: Swimming

One day a crew of us went out to Estacada Park and this awesome swimming spot. The water was super clear and deep and there were some fun rocks to jump off of. The water was freezing and super refreshing after the session.

Big thanks to Kokomo Joe for being our tour guide for the day and showing us this spot.
Ricky loved this spot. He probably made 10 trips back and forth across the river.
Not too shabby

Northwest 2013 Part 1: Pool Session

I just got back from the northwest a couple of days ago and once again it was a great time. This year a lot of Indiana boys made it out there on separate trips and all met up in Portland for a few days. There was a skateable pool close to where we were staying and we had an epic session.

 Shallow End Crew
Classic Devlin. Joe was not impressed.

Trevor even got in on the session at this one. He almost chopped his fingers off a couple of months ago so he was taking it easy most of the trip. It was good to see him ripping the pool.
This was probably my favorite photo from the trip. Chris was ripping fronside grinds in this thing.

Graduation Post

Today I graduate from I.U. with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. One of the things that I am most thankful for is the acceptance that the Bloomington Community has shown me over the past 5 years. I truly feel at home here, and I can't wait to transition from a student to a teacher in this community.

Anyways, here are some photos from the past few months

My dad recently rode his bike from his house in Fortville to my house in Bloomington. Here is a photo of him arriving at my door. I believe his words when he got here were, "you guys have some big hills down here." He may have had more choice words than that about Bloomington hills, but I try to keep it pretty tame on the blog.
Bart has been hard at work in the hills of Bloomington building some insane mountain bike trails. Here he is taking a break from work by blasting through the woods on his new dirt jumper.
Didn't believe Bart was putting in work? Well here is some photo proof. Although if you didn't believe me when I said it than you must not know Bart.
Photos do not do these trails justice. This summer is going to get rowdy.
We had some morning doves call our porch home this spring.
This thing was inside an egg three weeks ago. They sure do grow up fast.
Scotty with a tailslide while Erin gets the iphone angle.
 Sarah was out ripping.
Stella is the newest canine addition to the skateboard community. Kelsey picked a winner with her.

Scott with a feeble grind into the honey glove.
Scott has been laided up with a bum ankle for the past 6 months. He has not been able to contain his excitement about being back on the board.
Chris with his textbook backtail. When Chris learns a trick he is automatically the best at it.

Homewoods 2013

We had our first Homewoods sesh of the year today and it was a rowdy one. Can't wait for spring.

Also this is the only photo that I took on the trip last week. Scott mean muggin'.

Spine Ramp

Over the past couple of years we have been fortunate enough to have a co-op ramp. Skateboarders in Bloomington pay a monthly fee to keep the rent payed and the lights turned on at this warehouse. Big thanks to Ryan for keeping this organized and putting up with me always paying my rent late. This year we expanded the ramp from a measly 4 foot mini-ramp to a spine ramp with a spine ramp with 6 foot extension. The sessions have been heavy.
 The Ramp
Chris and I doubles front rock on the extension. Ryan took the photo.

Ping Pong

It has been cold so that means that the ping pong table has been getting a lot of use lately. Spring better come soon or Scott, Chris, and I are all going to lose it from spending so much time in the basement. I believe the broken paddle count is up to at least 4 or 5. To be fair most of them have been by me.
